Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as a member of the Institute of Town Planners Sri Lanka ("ITPSL") or using the ITPSL digital platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and ITPSL's Constitution, Rules, and Code of Professional Conduct.

2. Membership Obligations

• Members must maintain accurate and up-to-date personal and professional information in their profile.
• Members must renew their membership annually and maintain the required CPD hours.
• Members must comply with ITPSL's Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
• Misrepresentation of qualifications or professional standing may result in suspension or termination of membership.

3. Fees and Payments

• Membership fees are set by the ITPSL Council and are subject to revision with notice.
• Application fees are non-refundable once an application has been reviewed.
• Annual membership fees are due on the anniversary of membership activation.
• Members who do not renew within the grace period will have their membership suspended.

4. Use of Membership Number and Title

Members may use their ITPSL membership number and grade designation only while their membership is active. Use of ITPSL designations after suspension, lapse, or termination of membership is prohibited and may constitute misrepresentation.

5. Consultancy Practice

Members who practice as planning consultants under ITPSL registration must comply with the requirements of the Town & Country Planning Ordinance and any applicable regulations. ITPSL assumes no liability for the professional advice given by individual members in their consultancy capacity.

6. Platform Use

• Your member portal account credentials are personal and must not be shared.
• You must notify ITPSL immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• ITPSL reserves the right to suspend accounts that show signs of misuse.

7. Limitation of Liability

ITPSL's digital platform is provided "as is". ITPSL does not warrant uninterrupted availability of the platform. ITPSL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
